Mary Ann Kurke nee Januchowski, age 64. Longtime Homewood resident formerly of Chicago’s Roseland area. A Geography teacher, Mary Ann taught at Chicago State University and South Suburban College after retiring from Parker Junior High School/Flossmoor District 161. She brought firsthand knowledge to her profession, having visited fifty states and six continents in her life’s quest to travel the world. Daughter of Florence nee Karpinski and the late Herbert A. Januchowski. Sister of Joan Marie (Glen) Nielsen, Herbert (Arlene) and Henry (Patricia) Januchowski. Life partner and best friend for 25 years of Patrick Daly. Aunt of eleven, great aunt of seventeen. Beloved friend and fellow teacher of many. Resting at Panozzo Bros. Funeral Home, 530 W. 14th St, (US Rt. 30, 3 blks E. of Western Ave) Chicago Heights on Sunday June 24th from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Funeral Monday 9:45 Am to Infant Jesus of Prague Church, Flossmoor.
