Dominic J. “Mac” Sesto, age 90. Lifelong Chicago Heights resident. Retired after 40 years as Executive Vice-President of Personal Finance Company. Husband for 56 years of Carolyn nee Corsino. Father of Samuel (Jennifer) Sesto and Natalie (Michael) Lamb. Grandfather of Sophia Sesto, James, Matthew and Paul Lamb. Son of the late Helen nee Necastro and Salvatore Sesto. Brother of the late Philomena (late Santo) Stella. Beloved “Uncle Mac” to many. Former Treasurer of the City of Chicago Heights, he had served the Chicago Heights Park District Board for over 40 years. A proud U.S. Army Veteran of WWII, serving in the China-Burma-India theater, he was founding member and Past Commander of the Catholic War Veterans and member of the VFW Chicago Heights Post 2825 and the Italian-American War Veterans. Member of the Knights of Columbus. Graduate and Hall of Fame member of Bloom Township High School, and founding member of the Marian Catholic High School Development Board. Resting at Panozzo Bros. Funeral Home, 530 W. 14th St. (US Rt. 30, 3 blks E. of Western Ave) Chicago Heights on Thursday March 9th from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Funeral Friday morning 9:15 AM to St. Agnes Church, Chicago Heights.
