James “Jimmy Jazz” De Augustine age 89. Longtime resident of Calumet City and Chicago’s Roseland area passed away on June 12th in New Berlin, Wi. Devoted son of the late Katherine nee Mundo and Rocco De Augustine. Beloved brother of Rose (Gerald) Verrilli and the late Dominic De Augustine. Dear uncle of Joyce (Tony) Armeli, Michael Verrilli and Gayle (Joe) Scime. Fond great-uncle of Joe (Christa), Angela (Kevin), Joe (Jessica), Nicole (Joe) and Greg. Jimmy was a professional drummer and played with many of the well-known bands of the Big Band era. He proudly served his country in the Army Air Force during WWII. He was beloved by many family and friends. Resting at Panozzo Bros. Funeral Home, 530 W. 14th St. (US Rt. 30,3 blks E. of Western Ave) Chicago Heights on Wednesday June 17th from 10:00 AM until time of services at 12noon.
