Joanne M. Bartolomei nee LaPlant, age 76. Longtime Chicago Heights resident. Wife of the late Roy J. Bartolomei. Mother of Anthony (Paula), Michael (Linda), and Peter (LeeAnn) Bartolomei. Devoted “Grandma Jo” of Meredith, Anthony, Haley, Matt, Kara, Jake, Alec and Luke. Daughter of the late Gertrude nee Larscheid and Lloyd LaPlant. Sister of Laura Paschall and the late Jeanne Juntunen, Roger, Kenneth and William LaPlant. Beloved aunt and dear friend of many. Skokie native and graduate of Niles Twp. High School. Along with her late husband, she owned and operated the Skyline Merchant Patrol private security company for many years. Joanne was an avid sportswoman who continued her of love of golf and swimming up until the time of her recent illness. She was proud of her service as a volunteer at St. James Hospital and devotion to her faith as an active member of St. Agnes Parish and the St. Agnes Chior. Resting at Panozzo Bros. Funeral Home, 530 W. 14th St. (US Rt. 30, 3 Blks E. of Western Ave) Chicago Heights on Monday June 2nd from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Funeral Tuesday morning 9:15 AM to St. Agnes Church, Chicago Heights. Mass 10:00 AM. Private interment in Bartolomei Family plot, All Saints Cemetery, Niles.
