Sister of the late Liz Onofrio, Jennie Santori, Nick, Dan, Meade and Frank Matese. Sister in law of Joseph Borsilli and the late Jennie Kush and Evelyn Fleming. Beloved aunt and dear friend of many. To Angela & Anthony & all of the Borsilli family: I am so very sorry for your loss & want to wish you God speed in remembering all of those warm, loving moments with your Mom, & Nonna, that will come to you & bring a smile to your face & heart. I know that “Auntie” Lucy is in a much better place & no longer suffering from the physical struggles that she has to endure in her later years & realize how hard it is to say good bye for now. I can just hear her telling Uncle Tillie, her brothers & sisters, mother, father, & all of her friends great & funny stories about all of you & her time here with us as the “last one” as she used to say! Well, she wasn’t the last one - she was the only Auntie Lucy. She always had that special twinkle in her eyes that made us feel special. I relish the memories of the holidays, communions, birthday parties, family “doings,” & all the meals & laughs that we used to share. From the visits on Sunday mornings after Catechism when my dad & I would go visit Uncle Tillie, Aunt Lucy & then next door to see Uncle Philly & Aunt Lizzy, to sleepovers with Antony (as she used to say!) to Sunday spaghetti in the backyard, to Matthew & I having the time of our lives “helping” Uncle T & Auntie can tomatoes… I have been blessed to have had have been a part of your Mom’s life. She was a wonderful spirit, who deeply loved & cared so much about her family. We will all miss her but look forward to that time when we will all be together again. All of my love & sympathy, Mark

The Chuprevich and Nolan Families give our deepest and warmest sympathy. Grandma Lucy was a lovely lady. We all enjoyed her walk down memory lane with the great stories she loved to share. I envy the family’s Sunday Suppers at Grams. I hope her legacy lives on in the next generations. The next generations have a big role to fill because Grandma Lucy is awesome.

To my dearest friend and her family. My heart goes out to you at this time of sadness. Lucy’s memory will live on in my heart forever. She was so beautiful and special. (Like a second Mom to me) She always made me feel welcome in her home and always so generous. Daughters are made of what theirs mothers teach them. Angela, you had the “BEST”. Your love and devotion to your mother is above commendable. You have a lot to be proud of and beautiful memories only you can share with your mom. There is much to be said for a daughter who puts her life on hold to do what you did. Hold your head up high and celebrate her life. She was a blessing to many. Her memory will always live on as the Matriarch of the family. Her love and devotion to her family will never be forgotten. Love and prayers.

Saddened to hear of the passing of Auntie Lucy, another family member who helped us hold on to our traditions. I was blessed to be able to spend a wonderful afternoon with her, Angela and other family members this past summer. Memories I always hold dear.
