Madelyn “Mel” Bamonti nee Nudi, age 81. Longtime Chicago Heights area resident recently of Crete. Born and raised in Kenosha, Wi. Retired from Bloom Township where she served for over 20 years as a clerk in the Seniors Department. She had been the proprietor of Miz Mel’s Cards and Gifts, and worked alongside her late husband at the family owned Savoia’s Restaurant. Wife for 40 years of the late August F. Bamonti, Jr. Mother of August F. III (Ruth), David (Rene), and Michael (Julie Hottinger) Bamonti. Devoted “Noni” to her grandchildren Bree (Steve) Bakowski, Morgan Bamonti, Michelle (Scott) Kurtz, Dan (Patti) Pohrte, Gianna, Brian, Olivia, Adam and Edith Bamonti, and her great grandchildren Dominic, Julian, Avery, Gabriel, Kevin, Natalie, John and Lola. Sister of Frank Nudi. Loving “Aunt Mel” and dear friend of many. Resting at Panozzo Bros.
