Paul S. Canalia, age 29. Lifelong Crete resident. Graduate of Illinois Lutheran High School Class of 2004. Cherished son of Martha nee Pflug Canalia and Peter B. Canalia. Beloved brother of Holly Canalia (Kristopher) Rowden and Peter (Kristen) Canalia. Proud “Uncle Paul” to Haley and Madeline Rowden, Peter and Giovanni Canalia. Loving nephew and cousin of many. Paul was loved by the multitude of friends he made throughout his life and those relationships forged during his year’s bartending at Chuck’s Tavern in Crete. His kindness, caring nature, and concern for all those around him will be fondly remembered by those fortunate to have known him. Paul’s family will greet friends at a Celebration of Life and Memorial Service to be held at Sam Scrementi’s Banquets, 3760 S. Chicago Rd. (1/2 mile S. of Steger Rd), Steger on Sunday Sept. 13th from 2:00 PM until time of Memorial Service at 5:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, the Canalia family would appreciate you support the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention “Out Of the Darkness” Walk.
