Ronald “RonJon” Johndrone age 71. Longtime South Holland resident formerly of Chicago’s Roseland/Pullman area, passed away suddenly on Monday morning April 14th. A pleasant face, and a generous and loyal friend, Ron was the proprietor of the Suburban Printery. A sportsman, Ron was an avid bowler and proud member of the American Bowling Congress (ABC). A lifelong Stock Car Racing fanatic, Ron’s engaging smile was known in Nationwide Series pits throughout the country as a former crew member of the #52 car owned by longtime friend Jimmy Means. His lifelong passion for bowling and auto racing were exceeded only by his love for his friends and his beloved parents. Ron was preceded in death by his loving father Frank and his devoted mother Virginia (nee Rolla) Johndrone. A visitation and funeral service will be held on Friday April 18th at Panozzo Bros. Funeral Home, 530 W. 14th St. (U.S. Rt. 30, 3 blks E. of Western Ave) Chicago Heights, with viewing from 3:00 PM until time of funeral services at 7:00 PM.
