Thomas A. DePasquale age 80. Olympia Fields resident born and raised in Bridgeport neighborhood, home to his beloved White Sox. Retired after 27 years of teaching History at Rich Central High School/ District 227, where his work as an open minded educator and teacher of Afro-American Studies earned him The Martin Luther King Jr. Award and his announcing over 1000 basketball games earned him a spot in the Illinois High School Basketball Hall of Fame. Veteran of the Illinois National Guard. Beloved husband for 50 years of Georgia nee Chambers. Son of the late Christine Fratto and Joseph DePasquale. Brother of the late Joseph DePasquale. Friend and mentor to the thousands of students whose lives were enriched by his commitment and spirit. Resting at Panozzo Bros. Funeral Home, 530 W. 14th St. (U.S. Rt. 30, 3 blks E. of Western Ave.), Chicago Heights on Friday May 15th from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
