John C. Geraci, age 86. Longtime Homewood resident formerly of Chicago. Beloved husband for 58 years of Jean nee Kazmin. Loving father of Roxane (Jim) Militello and John (Ann) Geraci. Cherished “Papa” of Sarah (Michael) O’Reilly, Casey and Meghan (Tim Breen) Ryan, Seth, Hannah and Sam Geraci. Precious great-grandfather of Keeghan and Brooklyn Jean O’Reilly. Loving son of the late Beatrice nee Sclafini and Vincent Geraci. Brother of the late Frances Lisanti, Florence Cole, Beatrice, Nicholas, and Richard Geraci. Uncle, great uncle and dear friend of many. A World War Two veteran of the United States Army/106th Infantry, John continued service to his Country, by serving as a proud member of the Tinley Park VFW Post 2791 as Trustee and Color Guard. Retired from management at Kraft Foods after 30 years of service. John was a dedicated and active member of St. Kieran Church for over 43 years. Resting at Panozzo Bros. Funeral Home, 530 W. 14th St. (US Rt. 30, 3 Blks E. of Western Ave) Chicago Heights on Thursday Dec. 27th from 3:00 to 9:00 Pm. Funeral Friday 9:45 AM to St. Kieran Church, Chicago Heights. Mass 10:30 AM. Entombment Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Hillside.
