Phil D’Angelo, age 77. Lifelong Chicago Heights resident passed away peacefully at his home Saturday morning, with his beloved family at his side. A restauranteur, he had been the proprietor of Angelo’s in Country Club Hills, Café Angelo’s in Crete, and a partner of Mr. V’s Pizza in Chicago Heights. After retiring he enjoyed his years working in security at the Harrah’s Casino in East Chicago, IN. Beloved husband for 40 years of Carol nee Tiberi. Devoted father of Kim (Dan) Jiracek, Carla (late Tim) Bolin and Todd D’Angelo. Loving “Papa”of Blake and Joey Lauren Jiracek, Madysen and Sydnie Bolin, Michaela and Tristen D’Angelo. Son of the late Concetta nee Lamparelli and Philip D’Angelo Sr. Brother of Patricia Miller and the late Dolores (Ronald) DeTella. Beloved uncle and dear friend of many. Phil’s gentle and engaging nature, and keen wit and sense of humor, endeared him to the thousands of customers and friends who enjoyed his food and hospitality throughout the years.
