Phyllis J. Tuccori age 73 passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer. Beloved daughter of the late Cele Tuccori and the late Anthony Tuccori. Dear sister of Anthony “Kenny” Tuccori. Aunt of Anthony F. Tuccori and Jan O’Neill. Cousin of many. A graduate of Calumet High School, DePaul University and Chicago State University, she was a primary teacher and administrator in the Chicago Public Schools. She served as past president of the Women’s Board of the Cancer Support Center, where she was involved in the Boards “Evening Together” and volunteered at the Village Door. She participated as a dancer and singer in many of the Cancer Support Center Galas. Phyllis also volunteered for charity events involving Multiple Sclerosis. Dear to her heart was her tap dance group, her ski club and her film groups. She loved life and travel and will be sorely missed by her many, many dear friends. A Memorial Mass and celebration of Phyllis’ life will be held at Infant Jesus of Prague Church, 1131 Douglas Ave., Flossmoor at 10:00 AM on Friday February 17th. In lieu of flowers donations in her honor will be appreciated made to the Cancer Support Center, 2028 Elm Road, Homewood, IL 60430, (708-798-9171) and/or the cancer advocacy program ICAN (International Cancer Advocacy Network) through the following e-mail: TuccoriProgram@askican.org.
