Robert F. Bove Sr. age 89. Lifelong Chicago Heights area resident. Graduate of Bloom High School and the University of Dubuque, where he was captain of the football team and voted to the All Iowa Conference team. U.S. Army Veteran Fire Director/Korean War. Bob retired in 1992 with 37 years of service as a teacher and coach for Harvey School District 152. Owner of Bob’s Landscaping for 20 years. Trustee of Village of South Chicago Heights, member of Bloom Township High School Board, Chicago Heights VFW Post and the DAV-Disabled American Vets. Author of “Accordion Man – The Legendary Dick Contino”, who he met while serving in the Korean War. Husband of Conchetta nee Ruggeri. Father of Roberta, Karen and Robert Bove Jr. Grandfather of Joel and Kara Sarros. Brother of the late Faye Leone, Louise Ribecca, Lola Sansone, Anita Yacono, Domenic and Zino Bove.
