Thomas “Dick” Frederick, age 88. Crete resident formerly of Chicago Heights and Leesburg, FL. Born and raised in Chicago’s Bridgeport neighborhood. U.S. Army Veteran. Retired Supervisor of Vehicle Maintenance for the Chicago Heights Street Dept. Former proprietor, along with his wife, of Skyline Salt Service. Loving husband for 62 years of Lyn nee Borrowdale. Beloved father of Bill (Kathy) Frederick and Carrie (Tom) Peterson. Devoted “Papa” of Nick (Ashley) Frederick, Jordan (fiancé Ryan Kahn) Peterson, Mike (Cara) Frederick, Eric Peterson and Chase Olszanski. Proud “G-Papa” of Colten, Taytum, Bryant, Garrett and Grayson Frederick. Son of the late Mary nee Gallo and Thomas “Duffy” Frederick. He was preceded in death by his seven brothers and sisters. Cherished uncle “Dick” to Jan (Rich) Fileff, Dale Gavin and Jim (Michelle) Olszanski, cousin and friend to many. Dick was a longtime member of the First Presbyterian Church of Chicago Heights, along with being a member of the Steger Recreation Center and former member of the Chicago Heights Lions Club. Resting at Panozzo Bros. Funeral Home, 530 W. 14th St. (U.S. Rt. 30, 3 blks E. of Western Ave.), Chicago Heights on Thursday June 17th from 2:30 PM until time of funeral service at 6:30 PM.
