Timothy M. Rooney age 88. Crete resident formerly of Chicago Heights and County Club Hills. Born and raised in Chicago’s Roseland area. Graduate of Fenger HS and St. Joseph’s College. U.S. Army Veteran Korean War. Retired from CNA Insurance as VP of Group Insurance after over 20 years of service. Husband for 57 years of the late Maureen R. nee Casey. Father of Mary Therese (Michael) Griffin, Timothy J. (Tuesday), Brian (Patricia), Laurette and the late Mary Elizabeth Rooney. Grandfather of Margaret (Jason) Bearden, Timothy (Brittany) and Daniel Griffin, Casey, Faith, Brittany, Jaimie and Brian Rooney. Great grandfather of Eleanor Bearden and Isaac Grant. Brother of the late Fr. Jordan Rooney, O’Carm. Uncle and dear friend of many. Resting at Panozzo Bros. Funeral Home, 530 W. 14th St. (U.S. Rt. 30, 3 blks E. of Western Ave.), Chicago Heights on Sunday July 30th from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Funeral Monday 9:15 AM to St. Liborius Church, 35th St. & Halsted Blvd., Steger. Mass 10:00 AM.
