Alberta Elizabeth Gutgsell nee Boink age 95 passed away peacefully on September 24, 2013. Bert was born in Evansville, IN on April 25, 1918, and lived in Matteson for the past 64 years. She was a charter member of St. Lawrence O’Toole Parish. Wife for 44 years of the late John A. Gutgsell. Mother of John “Andy”, Joseph (Sara), and Robert (Marilee) Gutgsell. Grandmother of Carrie, Philip and Timothy Gutgsell. Sister of the late Cecilia Pauli, Margaret Boink, Mary Louise Grote, Jeanette Fallen, Dorothy Schuetter, John Boink, Helen Bickel, Richard Boink and Donna Schlachter. Aunt to many nieces and nephews. Alberta’s great-grandfather, Herman Johann Boink settled in Evansville over 160 years ago. Resting at Panozzo Bros. Funeral Home, 530 W. 14th St. (U.S. Rt. 30, 3 blks E. of Western Ave.), Chicago Heights, IL on Friday September 27th from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Funeral Saturday 9:15 AM to St. Lawrence O’Toole Church, 214th St. and Governors Hwy., Matteson. Mass 10:00 AM. Interment Assumption Cemetery, Glenwood, IL.
