Alphonse A. Lottino age 88. Longtime resident of the Calumet City/Dolton area, passed away peacefully on June 19th in Santa Barbara, CA . A tireless worker, he retired from the Chessie System Railroad after 40 years of service as an Engineer. U.S. Navy Veteran/WWII. Longtime President of the Tresche-Conca Society. One of 9 children, he was born February 3, 1925 in Riverdale to the late Pauline (nee Panozzo) and Frank Lottino. Husband for 65 years of Theresa (nee Cosentino) Lottino. Father of Patricia (Frank) Kartch, Barbie (Ken) Detmer, Tina Marie (Chris) Toedt and Paul (Leslie) Lottino. Loving grandfather of 12 and great-grandfather of 9. Brother of Patsy Cialdella, Anne Berry and the late Mary, Dolores, Stella, Gloria, Frank Jr. and Lawrence. Proud of his rich Italian heritage, Al was known for his love of gardening and for Italian music. A friend to all, who never met a stranger, his sense of humor and generous spirit will be remembered by all fortunate to have known him. A Memorial Visitation will be held at Panozzo Bros. Funeral Home, 530 W. 14th St. (U.S. Rt. 30, 3 blks E. of Western Ave.), Chicago Heights on Saturday July 13th from 1:00 PM until time of Memorial Service at 5:00 PM.
