Alma Taylor nee Scott age 81. Longtime Chicago Heights resident recently of Dyer, IN. Born and raised in Chicago’s Beverly Hills and Morgan Park areas, she received a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of St. Francis, and a Master’s Degree in Education from Governor’s State University. Retired after 24 years as a teacher for St. Kieran Grammar School. Wife for 58 years of Gilbert Taylor. Mother of Cynthia (late Frank) Cordes, Audrey (Kenneth) Rainford, Jennifer Taylor, Phillip (Joseph Mays), Kenneth (Ellie) and the late Gilbert Taylor III. Devoted “Mimi” to her granchildren Katrina, Jason (Amanda) and Alison Cordes, David Rainford USMC, Matthew and Annie Taylor. Great grandmother of Frank, Gwendolyn, Jacob and Sasha Cordes. Sister of the late Lionel (late Ann) and Edward Scott. Resting at Panozzo Bros. Funeral Home, 530 W. 14th St. (U.S. Rt. 30, 3 blks E. of Western Ave.), Chicago Heights on Friday February 22nd from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
