Andrew “Andy” Pulec, age 81. Longtime resident of Chicago Heights, passed away peacefully on February 27th after a long, courageous battle with cancer. Retired from Illinois Central Railroad after 25 years of service. Parishioner of St. Agnes Parish in Chicago Heights. Andy enjoyed playing golf, watching the Chicago Cubs, listening to polka music and traveling to Disney World. Survived by his wife of 60 years, Norinne nee Mazzocca. Father of Kathi (Bart) Wegrzyn, Michael (Lisa) Pulec, Sharon (Anthony) Renzetti and Linda (Ed) Olson. Grandfather of Dominic and Alex Renzetti, Christina Wegrzyn, Kailey Pulec and Isabella and Maggie Olson. Brother in law of Sal and Terry Mazzocca. Dear uncle to many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents, Stella nee Skalski and Andrew “Chummy” Pulec, his brother, Tony and in-law’s Irene nee DeNardo and Carmine Mazzocca. Resting at Panozzo Bros. Funeral Home, 530 W. 14th St. (U.S. Rt. 30, 3 blks E. of Western Ave.), Chicago Heights on Friday March 2nd, from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Funeral Saturday 9:15 AM to St. Agnes Church, 1501 Chicago Rd., Chicago Heights. Mass 10:00 AM. Interment Assumption Cemetery, Glenwood.
