Anita “Joy” Riordan nee Green, age 92, passed away peacefully at her home on March 31st with her family at her side. A 65 year resident of Chicago Heights, Joy was a native of Hammond, IN, and graduate of Hammond High School Class of 1940. While completing her Nurse’s training in Washington D.C., she met her late husband John Donald Riordan and married in 1942. Joy was the loving mother of Michael, Dennis, Patrick, Pamela, Moira, Kevin, Monica and Margaret, grandmother of 19, and great grandmother of 13. She is also survived by her dear friend of 38years, William K. Murphy. A Memorial Mass at St. Agnes Church, Chicago Heights, and inurnment at Assumption Cemetery, Glenwood will be held at a later date. For further service information please contact Panozzo Bros.
