Celeste B. Basile nee Smith. Age 90. Celeste was a longtime resident of Matteson, Ill., and recently was residing in Indianapolis.  Celeste was a graduate of Thornton High School. She was a homemaker for many years. She then worked as a dental assistant before working and then retiring from Oak Forest Hospital. She was the wife of the late August Basile. Mother of Susan (James Michael) Isbill, Michael (Rhonda) Basile, Jeanne Basile, Elizabeth (John) Peters and David (Deborah) Basile. Grandmother of Lucas Isbill, August, and Elaina Basile, Zachary, John and Zane Peters, Christopher, and Victoria Basile. Daughter of the late Blanche nee Leveille and Eugene Smith. Sister of the late Kay (late Richard) Berdaus and the late Elizabeth (Jack) Baxter. Beloved sister in-law of Margaret (late Joseph) Basile. Aunt and great-aunt to many. Resting at Panozzo Bros. Funeral Home, 530 W 14th Street (US Rt30, blks E of Western Ave) Chicago Heights on Thursday May 18, 2023, from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
