Doris “Dorie” Van Arkel, age 68. Longtime Richton Park resident formerly of Chicago’s Southside/St. Killian Parish. Daughter of the late Bertha nee Andrews and William Van Arkel. Sister of Carol (Norman) Spies, William (Carolyn) Van Arkel and Daniel Van Arkel. Beloved aunt and dearest friend of many. A graduate of St. Killian Grammar School and CVS High School, Dorie trained as a Medical Technologist and retired from St. James Hospital where she had worked in the Laboratory. Resting at Panozzo Bros. Funeral Home, 530 W. 14th St. (US Rt. 30, 3 Blks E. of Western Ave) Chicago Heights on Tuesday August 26th from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
