Dr. Luke R. Pascale, MD, age 94. Longtime Olympia Fields resident formerly of Chicago’s Roseland neighborhood. A pioneer in the field heart health care and open-heart surgery, Dr. Pascale was the founder of Heart Care Centers of Illinois. Graduate of Mt. Carmel High School, the University of Chicago, and Loyola University Medical School. He served with the Medical Corps for the U.S. Army and the U.S. Navy. Husband for 69 years of the late Elizabeth “Elsie” nee Loichinger. Father of Betsy (Thomas) Flanagan, Luke (Paula), Katy Drumm, Mia, John (Cathleen), Peter, Joseph (Diane), Anne, Michael (Jaime) and the late Vincent Pascale. Grandfather of 20, great-grandfather of 16. Brother of Theresa (Clem) Periolet and the late Walter Pascale. Beloved uncle, loyal colleague, and dear friend of many. Resting at Panozzo Bros. Funeral Home, 530 W. 14th St. (US Rt. 30, 3 blks E. of Western Ave) Chicago Heights on Monday Jan. 2nd from 12 Noon to 8:00 PM. Funeral Tuesday morning 9:15 AM chapel prayers to Infant Jesus of Prague Church, 1131 Douglas Ave, Flossmoor. Mass 10:00 AM. Interment Assumption Cemetery, Glenwood.
