Edward C. Rybolt, age 78, of Dyer, IN (formerly of Chicago Heights) passed away last Saturday, October 14th, at his home surrounded by his loved ones. He was married to the love of his life, Patricia, for 58 years. Ed was a retired pipefitter servicing Local 597 for 31 years. He was an active and faithful member of Salem Lutheran Church in Homewood. He is also remembered fondly as a longtime coach for OTYA girls’ softball. Ed loved spending time with his family and friends. He enjoyed camping, boating, skiing, golfing, bowling, car shows, riding his motorcycle, driving his 1945 Chevy truck, and traveling; especially Seaside, Florida. Enjoying a family meal with Ed was always a pleasure and he was never short of jokes to share. He was a man of faith with an unwavering love for his family and friends. He was always inspiring others with his remarkable zest for life, his kindhearted spirit, and willingness to help anyone in need. He will forever be remembered for his fun-loving spirit, contagious laugh, and most of all, his “reeeemarkable” hugs. Ed will be truly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. Ed is survived by his loving wife, Patricia (nee Boyer) of 58 years, his two children, Edward Rybolt and Roseann Boecker (nee Rybolt), daughter in law Veronica, loving “Papa” of Michael (Colleen), Megan, Malayne Rybolt, Kaitlyn (Greg) Sanders and Jordyn Boecker. “Great Papa” of Lila Rose Sanders. Brother of “Mick” (Sherry) Rybolt, Dorothy Guenter, John Rybolt. Preceded in death by his parents, Dorothy (nee Borner) and James Rybolt, his brothers, James (Joanne) and Thomas Rybolt. Uncle and friend to many. Resting at Panozzo Bros. Funeral Home, 530 W 114th Street (US Rt 30, 3 blocks east of Western Avenue), Chicago Heights on Friday, October 20, 2023, from 3:00pm to 8:00pm. Lying in State Saturday, October 21, 2023, at Salem Lutheran Church, 18324 Ashland Ave., Homewood, IL from 9:00am until time of funeral services 10:00am. Burial Skyline Memorial Park, Monee, IL.
