 Estelle S. Gavenda nee Kozlowski, age 92, July 22, 2014. Longtime Chicago Heights and Crete resident. Wife for 66 years of the late William F. Gavenda. Mother of William F. & Christine (Jacobson) Gavenda Jr., of Anacortes, WA, Robert & Anne-Marie (Ciaccio) Gavenda, of Crete, IL, and Bernadette (Gavenda) & Michael Sartorius, of Flower Mound, TX.  Grandmother of Mark & Jeanne (Casey) Gavenda, of Oakland, CA, Alexander Gavenda of St. Louis, MO, and the late Danielle Sartorius, of Burlington, IA. Daughter of the late Agnes nee Baran and Anthony Kozlowski. Sister of the late Louise (late Al) Kuhlmann, late Matthew (Gertrude) Kozlowski, late Theodore (Lorraine) Kozlowski, late Helen (late Edward) Norbut, late Sophie (late Herbert) Uhlbert, late Florence (late Al) Srebalus and late Joseph (late Lucille) Baran. Sister-in-law of the late Paul (late Frances) Gavenda, late Joseph (late Julie) Gavenda and the late Ann (late Frank) Pulec. Beloved aunt and dear friend of many. Proud member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Catholic War Veterans Chicago Heights Post #1060. A devoted homemaker, Estelle also enjoyed her years working at Kimball Glass Co. and St. James Hospital housekeeping department. Resting at Panozzo Bros Funeral Home, 530 W. 14^th St (US Rt. 30, 3 blks E. of Western Ave) Chicago Heights on Sunday afternoon from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM and also on Monday morning at St. Agnes Church, Chicago Heights from 9:00 AM until time of funeral mass at 10:00 AM. Interment Calvary Cemetery, Steger.  Memorials to the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the Gavenda family.
