During his retirement Gerald enjoyed spending time with his family, grandchildren, and great grandson.  Husband of 47 years to the late Madalene M. nee Amadio. Married August 6, 1960, at St Casimir Church.  Father of Tammy (Jay) Jelinek, Jerry (Amy) Cortez and Toni Lynn (Scott) Kaiser. Grandfather of Jackson Jelinek, Josiey Jelinek, Madeline Kaiser, Rosie Kaiser, and Kaitlin Kaiser. Great Grandfather of Marsilio (Leo).  Son of the late Marsilio and Wanda (Byrski) Cortez.  Brother of Morris (late Judy) Cortez, Dolores (Sam) D’Amico and Wendy (late Bob) Christofanelli. Uncle and wonderful friend of many. Resting at Panozzo Bros.
