Irene A. Panozzo nee Kopernik, age 83. Longtime South Holland and Dolton resident. Beloved wife for 62 years of Anthony Panozzo. Loving mother of Karen (David) Bailey, Kathy (James) Deady, and Mark (Federica) Panozzo. Cherished grandmother of Jessica (Joseph) Staiger, Ryan (Anne-Marie), Eric (Tiffany), and Elizabeth Bailey, Katelyn and Kristen Deady, Jenna (Brian) Ogle, Alyssa and Isabella Panozzo. Great grandmother of Olivia and Giuliana Ogle. Dear sister of Jean Kuzma, Betty Hughes and Rita Finlon. Loving Aunt of many nieces and nephews. Best friend of Lucille Thoma. Along with her sister Rita, Irene owned and operated The Ms. Shop, a women’s apparel shop in River Oaks West Mall for many years. A Celebration of Irene’s Life will be held at Panozzo Bros. Funeral Home, 530 W. 14th St (US. Rt. 30, 3 Blks E. of Western Ave) Chicago Heights on Wednesday April 24th from 3:00 PM until time of a Memorial Service at 6:00 PM.
