Joan Hergenrother nee Rutt, age 78. Longtime Chicago Heights resident formerly of Chicago’s South Shore area. Retired in 2001 after 25 years with Carson, Pirie, Scott & Co. where she worked as a Bridal Consultant. Attended the Art Institute of Chicago. Graduate of South Shore High School where she was an proud member of the Job’s Daughter sorority. Wife for 37 years of the late John “Jack” Hergenrother. Mother of Robert (Patricia nee O’Brien) Hergenrother, Cathleen (Clifford) Kilboy, and Patricia (Jason) DeBoer. Devoted “Nana” of Jack, Sarah, and Katie Hergenrother, Cameron, Carly, and Cole Kilboy, and Jaxson DeBoer. Preceeded in death by her brother Sonny and her sister Jayne. Beloved aunt and dear friend of many. Resting at Panozzo Bros. Funeral home, 530 W. 14th St (US Rt. 30, 3 Blks E. of Western Ave) Chicago Heights on Wednesday Dec. 12th from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
