 John P. Herbert Sr., age 87, of Dolton, IL passed away on Aug. 20, 2016. He is survived by his beloved wife of 65 years, Dolores nee Fabrie; loving children Linda (late Bruce) Catt, Sandra (Donald) Mitidiero, and John P. Herbert Jr.; fond grandchildren Brian and Krista Catt, Nicholas, Michael and Melissa Mitidiero and Jessica (Vincent) Weiss; dear great-grandchildren Bailey Catt, Russell and Dominic Weiss; and brother Paul  Herbert. He was preceded in death by his parents Alice nee Wisniewski and Russell Herbert, and his brother Stanley Ryskiewicz. John was a foreman at International Harvester for 35 years. He loved fishing, trips to Las Vegas, bingo, and most of all spending time with his family. He was always there to lend a helping hand to those who needed him. He will be greatly missed. Visitation will be held at Panozzo Bros. Funeral Home, 530 W. 14^th St. (US Rt. 30, 3 blks E. of Western Ave) Chicago Heights on Tuesday Aug. 23^rd from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
