Joseph A. Covelli, age 91. Former resident of Chicago’s Roseland neighborhood. Native of Alessandria del Carretto, Prv. Cosenza, Italy. U.S. Navy Veteran. Retired from the Sherwin Williams Paint Co. with over 35 years of service as mixer/shader in the Lacquer Department. Chief Steward and former President of O.C.A.W. International Union - Sherwin Williams Local. Husband for 65 years of Marilyn nee Lange. Father of Alexander Covelli, Kathleen (Jeff) Nickel, and Michael (Julie) Covelli. Grandfather of Ashley, Andrea and Alexandra Nickel and Jamie Covelli. Son of the late Florence Adduci and Alexander Covelli. Brother of the late Catherine (late Frank) Mitidiero, Rosemarie (late Joseph “Pepe”) Mitidiero and Frances (late Robert) Bass. One of the true “good guys”, Joe’s generosity, many acts of kindness and friendly nature will be fondly remembered by those fortunate to have known him. Memorial visitation at Panozzo Bros.
