Joseph Resman “Papa Joe”. Age 89. Resident of Park Place of Elmhurst where he was grateful for a community of friends and staff. Former resident of Mokena, South Holland and Chicago’s Roseland Neighborhood and graduate of Pullman Tech. Former Chicago Firefighter, employee of Illinois Central Railroad and retired from Thornridge High School. Veteran of the Korean war. Loving husband of the late Noreen nee Feeney and proud father of Mary Rita (James) Guthrie, Kathleen “Kay” (John) Anderson and John (Cynthia) Resman. Devoted grandfather and biggest fan of 7 grandchildren who have fond memories of his love, laughter and wit, including his reminder to always, “listen to your father!” Dear brother of the late Ann (Resman) Nolte and Rose (Resman) Potocki. Lying in state at Notre Dame Parish, 64 Norfolk Avenue, Clarendon Hills on Tuesday, July 6, 2021 10:00 AM until time of Funeral Mass 11:00 AM. Future internment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Alsip.
