Graduate of Mishawaka High School and Northern Illinois University. Northern Illinois University Hall of Fame Inductee. United States Army Veteran. Retired Chicago Public School Physical Education Teacher. Football Coach at Mendel Catholic High School. Julius enjoyed spending time working at CPS community school programs. A longtime parishioner of St. Anthony Church in Frankfort and member of the Spaghetti-O’s. Husband for 67 years of Joycelyn nee Grolla. Father of Karen (William) Andrews. Dearest grandfather “Nonno” of Bill and Michelle Andrews. Son of the late Erma nee Zanotti and Julio Brasini. Brother of the late Juliana (late Leonard) Whitfield. Brother in-law of the late Gloria (late John) Tribbia. Loving “Uncle Julie” to many nieces and nephews. Visitation at Kurtz Memorial Chapel 65 Old Frankfort Way, Frankfort, IL 60423 on Sunday January 2, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Funeral service on Monday January 3, 2022 prayers in the funeral home chapel at 9:15 AM leaving for St. Anthony Catholic Church, Frankfort. Mass 10:00 AM. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Alsip.
