Lita P. Scharnhorst nee Pizzato age 86, passed away peacefully on Jan. 7th at the Catherine Kasper Home in Donaldson, IN. A longtime Homewood resident, Lita was born November 23, 1927 in Chicago’s Roseland neighborhood. She was a graduate of Pullman Tech High School, and retired from Sherwin-Williams Paint Company after36 years of service as a Human Resources Administrator. In her later years she volunteered at Ingalls Hospital, and as a Hotline Counselor for the Y-ME National Breast Cancer Organization. Daughter of the late Elizabeth “Bettina” (nee Manzardo) and Lawrence Pizzato. Beloved sister of Gloria (Robert) Baier of Lessburg, IN. Loving aunt of James and Darren Baier, and Robin Snyder. Dear friend of many. Visitation Saturday morning January 11th at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 17951 Dixie Hwy., Homewood from 10:00 AM until time of Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM.
