Maria Teresa Fraga nee Elias, a resident of Freeport, Illinois, passed away on May 10, 2022, at the age of 76. She was born and raised in Cortazar (Guanajuato), Mexico. In 1970 she immigrated to the United States, making a home and many friends in Chicago. She loved gathering with friends and family. She especially enjoyed being with her four grandchildren. Beloved wife of 52 years of Gustavo Fraga Sr. Cherished mother of Martha (David) Ginocchio and Gustavo Jr. (Monica) Fraga. Adored "Abuela" (grandmother) of Emily and Ella Ginocchio, Alessandra, and Armando Fraga. Dear sister and "tia" (aunt) to many nieces and nephews in Celaya and Cortazar, Mexico. Maria Teresa will fondly be remembered as a vibrant, sweet, strong-willed, dedicated, and kind woman by everyone whose life she touched. A memorial and Celebration of Life will be private among immediate family members. In place of flowers, her wishes were to help aid the people of Ukraine.
