Mary H. “Jesse” Lopez nee Marmolejo age 85. Born in Topeka, KS, Mary was a longtime resident of Hammond, IN and Chicago’s Roseland area. Retired employee of Land O’ Frost in Roseland and Lansing. Wife for 58 years of the late Manuel Lopez Jr. Mother of Rachel (Juan Delgado) Melchor, Yolanda (late Robert J.) Reyes, Philip (Margaret) and Larry (Dawn) Lopez and the late Cynthia Dinkins. Grandmother of 12, great grandmother of 7. Sister of Catalina Balandran, Mary Louise Hernandez and Beatrice Guerrero all of Topeka, KS. Beloved aunt to many nieces and nephews. Survived by devoted friend and caregiver Vanessa Romero. Resting at Panozzo Bros. Funeral Home, 530 W. 14th St. (US Rt. 30, 3 blks. E. of Western Ave.), Chicago Heights on Thursday September 13th from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Body will lie in state Friday morning at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 7132 Arizona Ave., Hammond from 9:00 AM until time of Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM.
