Matt Spagnola age 91, passed away peacefully Friday morning October 31, at Marian Village with his loving wife at his side. Former longtime resident of Chicago’s West Pullman neighborhood and Waupaca, WI. U.S. Army Veteran/WWII. Husband for 67 years of Rose nee D’Adam. Father of Carolyn (Sherwood “Woody”) Hanford, Sr. Margaret Ann Spagnola OSM and Tina (Joseph Forsberg) Spagnola. Grandfather of Carrie (Brane) Planojevic, Matthew (Angie) and Anthony (Holly) Hanford. Great grandfather of Gina and David Planojevic, Olivia, Owen, Chloe and Isaac Hanford. Son of the late Margarita nee Tondello and Antonio Spagnolo. Brother of the late Gildo “Choppy” (late Marion), Bruno (late Eleanor), Reno and Anthony Spagnola. Resting at Marian Village Chapel, 15624 Marian Dr., Homer Glen on Sunday November 2nd from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM, and Monday morning from 10:00 AM until time of Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Worth. Memorials may be directed to Mantellate Sisters, 16949 Drauden Road, Plainfield, IL. 60586.
