Maurice W. “Bud” McGrath, age 86. Longtime South Holland resident passed away peacefully Wednesday morning November 7th at his home in Flossmoor with his family at his side. Member of Chicago Board of Trade since 1949. Corn Trader and proprietor of McGrath Grain Co. Graduate of Mt. Carmel High School Class of 1944. World War II Veteran, awarded the Purple Heart while serving with the U.S. Army Infantry at the Battle of the Bulge. Husband for 49 years of the late Barbara nee Kissinger. Father of Kathleen (Nicholas) Zagotta, Maurice “Mo” (Mary) McGrath, Matthew (Sandra) McGrath, and Fr. Patrick McGrath, S.J. Grandfather of Nicko, Peter and Mary Kate Zagotta, Colleen, Erin, Emmett, Ellen, Matthew and Sophia McGrath. Brother of the late Jane (late Arthur G.) Lalongo. Beloved uncle, dear friend and colleague, and benefactor to many in need. Visitation Friday morning Nov. 9th at Old St. Patrick’s Church, 700 W.
