Melva Rose Boea-LeBlanc. Age 74. Passed away peacefully August 23, 2019. Longtime Park Forest resident. Born in Pascagoula, MS and raised in Pittsburgh, PA. Graduated Prairie State College.  Retired after 20 years as a Nurse Technician from Ludeman Developmental Center. St Ireneaus Parishioner and active choir member.  Melva was a professional Blues Vocalist. Lead vocalist of the “The Wind Gypsy’s” and “Melva LeBlanc and The Hot City Blues Band” performing in numerous clubs throughout the Chicagoland and Northwest Indiana Area. Wife of the late Ferdinand J. LeBlanc Jr. Mother of Anthony “Tony” (Nola) Boea, Eddie LeBlanc and Ferdinand J. LeBlanc III. Grandmother of Breanne LeBlanc and Linnea (Max) Clark. Great-grandmother of Tianna Watkins. Daughter of the late Ola Mae nee Martin and Raymond Boea. Sister of Edward “Tommy” Boea, Delores Boea, the late Raymond (late Gene) Boea, Velma (late Don) Stewart and Martin Boea. Aunt to many nieces and nephews. Memorial Mass is pending.
