Oscar B. Santostefano, age 99. Lifelong Chicago Heights resident. Graduate of Bloom Twp High School Class of 1936. Graduate in Architectural Engineering and the ROTC Program at the University of Illinois. Served the U.S. Navy during WWII as a Dry Docks Engineer at the San Pedro Naval Yards in California as Lieutenant Commander. An Architect and Engineer, Oscar served in private practice until his retirement in 1981, leaving behind his work on buildings and homes throughout the Chicago Heights area and South Suburbs. Husband for 69 years of the late Angeline nee Collini. Father of Frank (late Cynthia), Robert (Cindy Kenney), and the late Oscar (Renee) Santostefano Jr. Grandfather of Marianne (Charles) Miller, Nicholas (Kathryn) and Melissa Santostefano, Amanda (Gordon) Harrington III and Gina Santostefano. Great grandfather of Olivia, Anthony, Nicholas Jr., Gianna Santostefano, Joseph, Gabriella and Oscar Harrington. Beloved uncle, friend and colleague to many. Resting at Panozzo Bros. Funeral Home, 530 W. 14th St. (US Rt. 30, 3 blks E. of Western Ave) Chicago Heights on Sunday May 21st from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Funeral Monday morning 9:15 AM chapel prayers to St. Kieran Church.
