Renate Guess nee Stern age 69, passed away peacefully at her home in Monee with her loving family at her side on Oct. 23rd after a long and bravely fought battle with ovarian cancer. Former Chicago Heights resident. Born Nov. 14, 1941 in Berlin, Germany to the late Walter and Gertrude Stern. A seamstress by trade, she was a longtime employee of Olympia Fields Country Club and Jewel Foods Bake Shop, Frankfort. Loving Mother of Diana (Gerald) Conley, Danny Stern, Don (Cynthia), and Daryl Guess. Cherished grandmother of Nicole (Bradley) DeGrave, Cory, Kourtney and Kiley Guess. Mother-in-law of Belinda and Amanda Guess. Beloved aunt, friend and co-worker of many. Resting at Panozzo Bros. Funeral Home, 530 W. 14th St (US Rt. 30, 3 Blks E. of Western Ave) Chicago Heights on Wednesday Oct. 26th from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Body will lie in state at Trinity Lutheran Church, 2901 Western Ave, Park Forest on Thursday morning from 10:00 AM until time of Funeral Services at 11:00 AM. Burial will be private. 708 481-9230.
