Robert A. Durbin, 72, of Frankfort and long time Chicago and Rock Hill, SC resident has passed away peacefully with his brother and best friend by his side on Dec. 15, 2020. In his youth, Robert found a love of music by playing drums in the family band “Donna and the Dees.”  He also loved the Bears and Cubs almost as much as chocolate donuts, and reading books while enjoying the sunshine on the front porch. But, most of all he loved his family and his dogs. He was jovial, kind hearted, and had the gift of gab. His personal challenge was to change anyone’s bad mood into a smile with just a conversation. A master story teller, Robert’s motto in life was “Always leave them laughing.” And he always did. He was truly one of a kind. Father of Tania Cioffi and Anthony Durbin. Grandfather of Marcus Durbin and Maximus Cioffi. Son of the late Emily Nee Guerra and Elmer Durbin. Brother to Donna (Robert) Campos, Doreena Durbin, and Kenneth (Brenda) Durbin. A celebration of his life will be held in the spring with details to follow.
