Robert Adduci - 92

Robert "Duke" Adduci, Age 92, passed away peacefully on August 10, 2025. Born on December 18, 1933, in Roseland. Robert grew up with strong family values that guided him throughout his life. He was a graduate of Fenger High School, class of 1950. He dedicated many years to the City of Chicago Water Department as an Administrative Assistant to the Water Commissioner, where he was respected for his integrity, work ethic, and generosity of spirit. 

Of all his accomplishments, Robert's greatest joy came from his family. Loving husband of 52 years to the late Shirley Ann nee Kocsak. A proud father to Robert (Josephine) Adduci and the late Michael Adduci. A cherished grandfather or "Papa" of Robert (Brittney) Adduci and Andrea (Dillon) Popovich, along with a great-grandfather to Vincenzo Adduci, Dominic, and Andrew Popovich. Son of the late Cinderella nee Rossi and Joseph Adduci. Brother of the late Carmella (late Michael) Roppo, Reynold (late Patricia) Adduci, Joseph Adduci, Anthony (late Kelly) Adduci, Rose (late Edward) Salinas, and Alexander (late Elizabeth) Adduci. Beloved uncle to many nieces and nephews.

In his later years, Robert was blessed to have the loving care and companionship of his loving caregiver Nina, whose kindness and devotion to his health and well-being brought him great comfort.

Robert was a man of simple pleasures and enjoyed spending time with his family, bowling, golf and playing the saxophone in his band for weddings and other local events. Shirley and Robert's home was always a place of warmth, laughter, and delicious meals, where everyone felt welcome. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend, Robert lived a long life marked by hard work, kindness, and a deep commitment to those he loved. Robert's life was a testament to love, loyalty, and perseverance. He will be deeply missed, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew him and many cherished memories.

A visitation will be held at Panozzo Bros. Funeral Home, 530 West 14th Street (US Rt 30, 3 blks E of Western Ave) Chicago Heights on Friday August 15, 2025 from 4:00 pm until time of funeral services at 8:00 pm.
