Worked in Banking at Harris Bank and Boulevard Bank, retiring from the Chicago Board of Trade working in Security. Robert also was a Referee for Girls Softball, Men’s Football and Basketball for many South Suburban High Schools including Rich East, Rich Central, Eisenhower, Homewood-Flossmoor, and Marian Catholic. Die-hard fan of the Chicago Cubs, Chicago Bears, and Indiana University “Hoosier” Basketball.  Avid golfer. Husband for 61 years of Kathleen nee Cahill. Father of Patricia “Patty” Barkus.  Grandfather of Brittany Barkus. Son of the late Louis (late Florence) Farkas. Brother of the late Louis Farkas, James (Judy) Farkas, and Patricia Farkas. Brother-in-law of Jeanne (Greg) Rathgeber and Toby (late Kate) Cahill. Uncle and friend of many. Resting at Panozzo Bros.
