Ronald R. Ostarello. Age 65. Born February 16, 1960. Passed May 10, 2025. Longtime Frankfort resident, formerly of South Holland and Chicago's Roseland Neighborhood. Graduate of St. Anthony School (Class of 1973) and Thornwood High School (Class of 1978). Worked alongside his father Reno Ostarello and Uncle Jim Dalba at the family TV store "Illinois TV" in Chicago's Roseland Neighborhood and Calumet City. Ronnie was a Renaissance Man, known for his intelligence and wit, and for developing deep knowledge and skills in many fields. He was a musician since early childhood and an auto mechanic since his early teens. He became a licensed pilot, learned to scuba dive, and in midlife, after going back to school, became a Local 399 Union Engineer. More than anything, Ronnie was known for being a big-hearted, fun-loving "people person" and "family man." He enjoyed coaching his daughters' softball teams in Frankfort, arranging annual picnics with the "Panozzo side" of the family, and bowling at the Friday night St. Anthony Holy Name Bowling League. He prided himself on how well he could tell a story, because he said, "I love to make people laugh." Husband to Connie Jo Staniec Ostarello for 37 years. Father of Stephanie and Lillie Ostarello. Brother of Marie Ostarello. Son of the late Mary nee Panozzo and Reno Ostarello. Friend of many. Memorial Visitation Saturday, June 14, 2025 at 1:00pm until time of Memorial Service at 4:00pm.
