Russell Langenderfer age 79. Longtime Chicago Heights and Flossmoor resident, now of Pompano Beach, FL. U.S. Army Veteran. Thornton High School graduate; attended Arizona and Purdue University. Retired as President from his family owned Southern Express Company. Formally served on the Board of First National Bank of Harvey, Foundation Board of Ingalls Hospital, Flossmoor Village Trustee, Flossmoor Police and Fire Commissioner. Member of Olympia Fields Country Club. Russ travelled the world; but his favorite place was at home with his family and friends. He was an avid golfer and gin player. Husband for 56 years of Marilyn nee Richmond. Father of Jeffrey (Debra) Langenderfer and Cathy (Jeff) McBride. Grandfather of Danielle, Lisa, Paige, Carly and Michael. Great grandfather of Taylor and Payton. Brother of Juanita (late Bud) Foster and the late Bernard (Elizabeth) and Rudolph Langenderfer. Resting at Panozzo Bros. Funeral Home, 530 W. 14th St. (U.S. Rt. 30, 3 blks E. of Western Ave.), Chicago Heights on Sunday November 6th from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
