Salvador Tijerina, age 63 passed away peacefully on July 17th. Longtime Chicago Heights resident, born and raised in Las Enramadas, Nuevo Leon, Mexico. Worked many years for Zulanas Distributing, Funk Forging and Land O ‘Frost Foods. Husband of Francisca (nee Segovia) Tijerina. Father of Salvador Tijerina Jr., Sandra (Fabian) Briseno, Sofia (Jose) Gonzalez and Silvia (Jose) Jara. Grandfather of Emily, Julian, Isabella, Crystal, Jose and Valeria. Son of Manuela (nee Garcia) Tijerina and the late Celistino Tijerina. Brother of Maria Isabel Veliz, Juanita Tijerina, Dora Garcia, Irma Leal and Sebastian Tijerina. Beloved uncle of many. Resting at Panozzo Bros. Funeral Home, 530 W. 14th St. (US Rt. 30, 3 Blks E. of Western Ave) Chicago Heights on Wednesday July 22nd from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
