Sandra R. Vittorelli, nee Martin, age 87, passed away February 17, 2026, following an extended illness. Sandra was born Sandra Romelle Martin on September 10, 1938, to Jack and Nettie Martin. She married Reno Victor Vittorelli on November 27, 1956, in Chicago, IL. They welcomed a daughter, Kimberly Dawn Vittorelli on May 10, 1960. Sandra was a longtime resident of Sauk Village IL, formerly of Chicago’s Pullman/Roseland neighborhood, and a graduate of Fenger High School.
Sandra LOVED her family and one of her favorite things to make for them was her peanut butter fudge! Sandra was an amazing artist who loved to paint, draw, and color. Christmas was her Superbowl, and she always did the most amazing displays in her picture windows for the holidays. In addition to art, Sandra was an award-winning writer, receiving accolades from Washington DC for exceptional works. She had great musical talent playing the piano, guitar, and the accordion. Family said if you give Sandra a few minutes on any instrument, she could play you any song you would want to hear, and she did it by ear.
Above all else, Sandra loved the lord. She attended the First Baptist Church in Sauk Village IL for many years.
She is survived by 1 sister, Deborah Merry Martin of Alsip, Her husband, Reno Vittorelli of Sauk Village, Her daughter, Kimberly Vittorelli of Oglesby IL, 5 Grandchildren: Jeremy (Miranda) Vittorelli of Lansing IL, Melissa Vittorelli (Shane Goskusky) of La Salle IL, Nicholas Powell of Lasalle IL, Samantha Powell of Peru IL, and Matthew Powell of Oglesby IL. She was also survived by 4 Great grandchildren: Jaydah Powell of Lasalle IL, Jeremy (Peanut) Vittorelli Jr. Of Lansing IL, Liam Oliver Goskusky of Lasalle IL, and Paris Pflibsen of Peru IL. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews as well as great nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents Jack and Nettie Mae (Seaton) Martin and 8 siblings: Jack Martin Jr, Charles Martin, William (Billy) Martin, Donald (Delmira) Martin, James (Iris) Martin, Linda Lou (Martin) Dubrock, Beverly (Daniel) Zombathy nee Martin, and Dennis L Martin.
