Victor Gonzalez. Age 95. Passed away at home with his loving family by his side on August 17, 2022 in Beecher, IL. Formerly of Glenwood and Harvey, Illinois. Husband for 44 years of the late Betty Gonzalez. Father of Barbara (John Lapajenko) Burbach, Camille (William) Bostwick, the late Lisa Ann Gonzalez and Melissa (Daniel) Strick. Loving brother to 9 brothers and sisters, beloved Papa of Erika, Andrea, Cameron, Annalisa, Sydney, Jackson and Benjamin. Great grandfather of Nico and Layla and uncle and friend of many. World War II Veteran.  Belonged to the East Hazel Crest Post 1139 American Legion. As a young man, Victor played football, basketball, and baseball.  He also enjoyed golfing with his family.  He was known to many in Beecher as “Papa Vic”.  In lieu of flowers or monetary gifts to the family, please consider making a donation to one of the following organizations:  Cancer Support Center (cancersupportcenter.org), East Hazel Crest Post 1139 American Legion, PO Box 1256, Homewood, IL 60430 or Lightways Hospice (lightways.org).
