Virginia M. Holdt nee Yost age 82 passed away peacefully Saturday November 17th. Longtime Beecher and Calumet City resident formerly of Chicago’s Jeffrey Manor neighborhood. Retired Bookkeeper for Continental Bank of Chicago with over 30 years of service. Wife of the late William Holdt (2011) and Kenneth Shorette (1971). Mother of James (Marcy) Shorette, Joan (John) Martens, Jack Shorette and Julie (Gary) Francis. Stepmother of Michael Holdt and Debra Tikalsky. Grandmother of 11 and great grandmother of 4. Sister of Peter (Josie) Schlax. Graveside committal services and inurnment of Virginia and William’s ashes Monday November 26th, Holy Cross Cemetery, 801 Michigan City Rd.
