Employed from 1966 until his retirement in 1989 as a Landscape Engineer for the City of Chicago Park District. U.S. Navy Veteran/WWII -Seaman First Class, USS Hugh S. Legare and USS Edgar F. Clark. Husband of the late Mary nee Frederick. Father of Brenda (Jay, US Navy, Retired) Siren. Grandfather of Matthew (Amy) Fuchs. Great grandfather of Collin Fuchs. Brother of Catherine Sandona, and the late Tillie Klein, Sophie Militello, Alexander, Joseph, Thomas, and Paul Shek. Beloved “Uncle Walt” of many nieces and nephews. Devoted co-worker and dear friend. Resting at Panozzo Bros. Funeral home, 530 W. 14th St. (US Rt. 30, 3 Blks E. of Western Ave) Chicago Heights on Thursday Nov. 7th from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
